Partita is a mixed choir based in Porvoo, Finland. We have a relatively broad range of titles in our repertoire including those by Abba, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, the Carpenters, and by Finnish acts Ultra Bra and Laila Kinnunen. Since we come from Finland we naturally have some tangos in our repertoire.
Our director is called Merzi Rajala. She has been among us since autumn 1997. Merzi is a woman with many a thing going on at the same time. Her main occupation is with the Pop-Jazz conservatory of Helsinki where she teaches singing. In addition to that she is a member of an all female big band called Ladies First where she plays the guitar, sings with the Finnish Adiemus singers, sings solo with various bands etc. Most of our arrangements are made by Merzi.
